The City Council met in a special session on the 26th day of
February at 6:00 PM in the Council Room.
Present: Greg Hansen, Leonard McLaughlin, Todd Harrington,
Xiong Yang and Jeff Harnack, City Clerk Paula McGarvey
Also present: Travis Schaar
Attorney Brian White was present via speaker phone
Mayor Hansen presided at the meeting
The council closed the meeting to discuss allegations of
misconduct during an incident that occurred at the Walnut Grove
Bar & Grill on January 20, 2009.
Motion by Todd Harrington, second by Xiong Yang to adjourn the
closed meeting. All voted in favor, motion carried.
The open meeting was continued at this time. Motion by Leonard
McLaughlin, second by Todd Harrington to place Travis Schaar on
administrative leave with pay until further notice due to
allegations of misconduct which are being investigated by the
office of the County Attorney. All voted in favor, motion
carried.
Motion by Todd Harrington, second by Xiong Yang to continue this
meeting on Monday, March 2, 2009 at an open meeting requested by
Travis Schaar to allow him to present information to the council
regarding the incident that occurred at the Walnut Grove Bar &
Grill on January 20, 2009 at 6:00 PM. All voted in favor,
motion carried.
Motion to Adjourn by Todd Harrington, second by Leonard
McLaughlin. All voted in favor, motion carried.
