The City Council met in a special session on the 24th day of
February, 2010 at 2:00 PM at the Walnut Grove Fire Hall.
Present: Greg Hansen, Fire Chief Chad Freeburg, Ambulance
Director Mike Landuyt and City Clerk Paula McGarvey
Also present: Eugene Swanson, Doug Krentz, Kevin Jenniges,
LaMoine Meyer, Bruce Baker, Bill Otto and Brian Johnson.
Mayor Hansen presided at the meeting
The purpose of the meeting was to approve the Fire and Ambulance
Budgets with the townships. Discussion was held on
re-establishing the vehicle replacement fund for the Fire
Department which will start again in 2012.
Discussion was held on increasing the per section charge by $10
to a total of $150 per section and to approve the increase in
charges for fire calls to $750 per call, and to begin charging
$250 for extrication. Motion to approve the Fire Budget of
$44,800.00 and to approve the Fire Call charge of $750 and
Extrication rate of $250 by Eugene Swanson, second by Brian
Johnson. All voted in favor, motion carried.
Motion to approve the increase of the per loaded mile charge for
the ambulance service from $9 per loaded mile to $12 per loaded
mile by Kevin Jenniges, Second by Doug Krentz. All voted in
favor, motion carried.
Motion to approve the Ambulance Budget of $41490 and to increase
the ambulance replacement charge by $10 per section from $30 to
$40 per section by Bruce Baker, Second by Bill Otto. All voted
in favor, motion carried.
Motion to Adjourn by Kevin Jenniges, second by Eugene Swanson.
All voted in favor, motion carried.
