Leo Thorsness Memorial Park
The Leo Thorsness Memorial Park is 1 block square and is located on the main street. Tennis court, basketball court, band shelter, picnic shelter, playground equipment and public bathrooms are available.
Ferguson Park
Ferguson Park is located behind the Middle School. It is a shaded, quiet residential park with picnic shelter, bathrooms, sand volleyball court and play ground equipment.
Plum Creek County Park
Redwood County’s premiere county park – Plum Creek Park is located just outside of Walnut Grove, home of the Laura Ingalls Wilder Museum and Pageant. Nestled on 215 acres of rolling prairie and mixed forest, Plum Creek Park is home to some breathtaking views. Take a walk on over 3 miles of hiking trails, rent a kayak or paddle board on Lake Laura, or dip your toes in Plum Creek. The campground features 47 seasonal campsites, 17 overnight electric sites with 50 amp service, 5 non-electric campground sites and 6 spacious camper cabins available for reservations. In addition to 4 primitive sites located on the north side of Lake Laura and 4 additional primitive tent sites in the Lower Park. Enjoy fun playgrounds, play 9-holes of Disc Golf or sand volleyball, swim in Lake Laura or discover the different tree varieties found throughout the park.
