Sanitation & Recycling

The City of Walnut Grove contracts with an outside waste management company, Southwest Sanitation for solid waste collection and West Central Sanitation for recycling. Everyone within the community is required to have garbage collection and all residential customers are required to have recycling collection. To set up your garbage service please contact the City Clerk. 

Most trash and debris, when properly bundled and/or contained properly, can be disposed of at curbside with your regular garbage service days. If assistance is needed or you have questions, please do not hesitate to contact us. 

Trash Pick-up Schedule

Trash pick up is early Wednesday mornings. Garbage should be put at the curb Tuesday night. *During a “Holiday” week, trash pick up will be one day late.

Recycling Schedule

Recycling is every other Wednesday.  Recycling carts should be put at the curb Wednesday morning before 8:00 AM.
